How do I create an account?
Tap Join Near-U in the top right corner of any page. You'll be asked a few quick questions: your name, phone number, whether you're a client (you need work done) or a provider (you do the work), and your password.
An email address is optional. Many Nigerian users sign up with phone only — we'll send a one-time code by SMS to confirm the number. You can add an email later from your profile if you want password resets by email.
I forgot my password — what now?
On the sign-in page tap Forgot password?. Enter the phone number or email on your account and we'll send a reset link.
If you signed up with phone only and lost access to that number, contact support@near-u.ng with proof of identity (NIN slip or driver's licence). We'll verify and reset manually within one business day.
Can I be both a client and a provider?
Yes. Your account has a primary role, but a provider can also book other providers as a client (e.g. a tailor hiring a cleaner). Bookings you make as a client appear in your My bookings tab; jobs other clients send you as a provider appear under Booking requests.
How do I change the phone number on my account?
Go to My account → Profile information, type your new phone number, and save. We'll send a verification code to confirm the new number. Until verified, your phone shows as Unverified in the security card.
